Proteccnc.co.uk was one of the first WordPress websites I had worked on as a freelance developer.  This case study covers my time developing and expanding  a brand using efficient grid system design & using social media to promote and expand my client’s customer base.

WillInMotion - A Figma Project

“WillIn Motion” is a user-centric design project I made in Figma, aiming to create an intuitive video hosting platform. Drawing inspiration from popular streaming services like Twitch and YouTube, the project included key pages such as Home, Registration, Account, Video, Settings, Playlist, and Uploads. A warm color palette featuring Watermelon magenta, cyan/turquoise, and bone hues was meticulously chosen to enhance visual appeal.

Notably, the project set a personal record for speed while ensuring efficient use of screen space and a seamless user experience.

Will Eats - A Figma Project

This was the first of my larger exercises using Figma. The plan was to expand upon what I was working on and apply it to a real world concept.

This ended up being an Uber Eats Styled website.

Did the design choices for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm cause it to fail?

This study is an analysis of how the  MMORPG expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm caused what was one of the most popular MMO’s at the time to lose almost a quarter of its player base over two years, and the design decisions that led to its downfall.

Substation Simulator

This was a project I was a part of during my time at the University of Portsmouth. I acted as QA Lead and Technical Designer. 

Its intention is to be a promotional simulator which will be used at different commercial events in order to generate potential client interest.

S.P.A.C.E Game

Space Game was a prototype development project I worked on during my second year at university.

It was a project that started with my team developing a boardgame that turned into a full a top down Sci-Fi ‘RogueLike’

Pitch Document: Iron Hart

Iron Hart was one of my first design documents I wrote. 

The Iron Hart is a 2D Action Platformer for the PC market. Where You play as the hero, “The Iron Hart” (Hart being another name for a Stag), a druidic knight which is Bound by a pledge to protect the sacred grove, he must battle the mechanical minions of “The Iron Maiden” and put evil to rest.

Pitch Document: Valley of The Kings

This was one of my first team projects I worked on at univesity. Undergoing the genral process of how to create a pitch document and present our plan of action. 

Valley of The Kings would have been a 2.5D side scroller made in UE4.
